Navy comes to vessel's rescue

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – The Philippine Navy yesterday rescued four officers and 17 crewmembers of a cargo vessel, which had drifted for three days in the high seas off Misamis Occidental, authorities said.

Admiral Armand Guzman, chief of Naval Forces Western Mindanao, said M/V Richard Rey, a cargo vessel of Cebu-based Fortune Sea Carrier Inc., was spotted by the BRP Jose Loor Sr. (PG 390) yesterday morning off Polo Point in Plaridel, Misamis Occidental.
