Guerrilla guns down civilian volunteer


BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – A member of the peace and order watch group Civilian Volunteers Organization was shot dead by a suspected New People’s Army rebel Tuesday evening in Barangay Taglibas, Bayugan City in Agusan del Sur.

Police identified the victim as Junrey Caliao Dullantes, a farmer and resident of Purok 2 in Barangay Taglibas. A manhunt on the suspect has been launched.
