Police: Suspect in deadly Zambo pension house blast arrested

A suspect in the Zamboanga pension house bombing that killed three people last Sunday was arrested Tuesday night in a special operation, a police official said Wednesday.
Husseun Ahadin aka Abu Asraf was arrested at Purok 4 in Mati, Zamboanga City, said Zamboanga regional police Chief Superintendent Elpidio de Asis.

De Asis said the suspect was arrested by a joint team of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations, Philippine Center for Transnational Crime, Special Action Force and the Zamboanga City Police Office (DIPO-PCTC-SAF-ZCPO).
Ahadin is a member of the group that planned the Atilano Pension House bombing, and is under the group of Abo Moadz and Ustadz Ibni Acosta, who are also suspects in the San Roque cockpit bombing last October.
De Asis said intelligence reports indicated that the suspect played a major role in the pension house bomb explosion als Sunday.
An initial investigation showed that the incident occurred at 9:25 p.m Sunday at the two-storey Atilano Pension House on Mayor Jaldon Street in Brgy. Canelar, Zamboanga City.

The explosion that damaged the building's roof killed three people and injured 27 others, many of whom were wedding guests who were billeted at the pension house. — Carmela LapeƱa /LBG, GMA News
